Ann Cudworth (also writing as A. C. Worth) is the author of short fiction in Metaphorosis Magazine, Exterus, and Sci-Fi Lampoon, and the anthologies Score—An SFF Anthology, Radicle, and Sages of Metaphorosis. She writes science fiction and urban fantasy, shaped by workshops at Odyssey Writing Workshop and the Sarah Lawrence Writing Institute, as well as Futurescapes and the Juniper Writing Institute.

Set in Ruxton Beach, N.H. it follows Huxley Bleakbeam Hollowstew, a demon-familiar, as he seeks to woo Karly into becoming his witch, while her guardian angel father and a golden voiced rival work to make sure he never gets the chance.

The Day the Sandlot Sharks Played the Hardware Hammers

The Day the Sandlot Sharks Played the Hardware Hammers is a science fiction story featuring a generational spaceship, an underdog sports story, and screwball comedy. Set on the UN Liberty generational spaceship, it follows the umpire calling a nail-biter of a little league baseball game gone sideways — with a failing scoreboard AI, dumb ball drones, and a very fed-up bull all working against him, and the captain's daughter watching every second of it. Previously published in Sci-Fi Lampoon Magazine, Autumn 2020.

Stone God

The Stone God is a mythic fantasy featuring a creation myth, a trickster god, and a cyclical narrative. Set in a forgotten world, once colonized by an advanced culture, is is now home to a primitive tribal society. The story of the death and rebirth of their village is told by Nama, an elder, to the children. Previously published in The New Exterus, Volume 1, 2021.

The Tapestry

The Tapestry is a science fantasy featuring hidden truth, secret identity, and last-minute rescue. Set in a clockwork world, it follows Elyse as she as she uncovers a break in the tapestry that runs her world, and Stefen — who isn't quite who he seems — racing to stop her before it all comes apart. Previously published in Metaphorosis, 2018.
